Ludoil Energia receives the “Committed” badge from EcoVadis for sustainability

Ludoil Energia receives the “Committed” badge from EcoVadis, surpassing 58% of evaluated companies and showcasing a strong commitment to sustainability.

Utilising internationally recognised ESG ratings, such as those provided by EcoVadis, ensures impartiality and rigour in the assessment of companies, enabling investors and stakeholders to make informed decisions based on accurate and verifiable data.

The Ludoil Group has chosen to further consolidate its transparency journey, which commenced in 2023 with the publication of the first Integrated Report, by seeking an evaluation from EcoVadis, a globally acknowledged ESG rating entity. EcoVadis's methodology is anchored in international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000, assessing 21 indicators grouped into four primary themes: Environment, Labour Practices and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

To achieve a precise and tailored evaluation for each activity, the Ludoil Group initiated the assessment process for Ludoil Energia S.r.l., which operates in the retail and wholesale fuel market. This journey will continue with the other entities within the corporate group, starting with Raco S.r.l., which specialises in the management and transformation of organic waste into biomethane and compost, and will be the next to obtain the rating.

Ludoil Energia has been awarded the “Committed” badge by EcoVadis, achieving a Sustainability Scorecard of 55 points. This score, which is higher than 58% of the companies assessed by EcoVadis in the relevant sector, attests to the value of the measures implemented and the company's ability to meet stakeholder expectations through sustainable and responsible practices.

High-quality ESG data, subject to independent evaluations, are crucial for mitigating the risks of greenwashing and enhancing transparency. Establishing processes for the collection, management, and traceability of data ensures the accuracy and reliability of sustainability statements. In this respect, the Ludoil Group is advancing with the concrete objective of continuously enhancing its sustainability performance.
