The Ludoil Group and ITA Airways (Italia Trasporto Aereo S.p.A.) have entered into an agreement for the supply of aviation fuel, consolidating a strategic partnership in the aviation sector. The flagship airline has chosen to rely on the Ludoil Group for the refueling of its aircraft at Rome Fiumicino Airport, benefiting from the logistical efficiency guaranteed by the Group through the assets in Civitavecchia.
The Ludoil Group operates four maritime terminals in Civitavecchia, managed by its subsidiary Sodeco, connected to Leonardo da Vinci Airport via a 63 km pipeline. The depots have the capacity to meet over 50% of the airport's total fuel requirements and are also part of the international JIG network, which regulates the procurement, storage, and distribution of aviation fuels in full compliance with aviation regulations and environmental sustainability standards.
The short supply chain, connecting the Civitavecchia depots to Fiumicino Airport, promotes strategic synergies, including the handling of biojet from renewable sources. With determined commitment, the Ludoil Group undertakes, through the agreement, to support ITA not only in its usual activities but also in the ambitious path of decarbonizing air routes.
